GENERAL

  1. American made frames 105” wheel base minimum.
  2. Cars must weigh 2500 pounds after race with driver. (58%) left side.
  3. Rear of engine must be mounted 72 inches forward from centerline of rear axle. Engine offset within 2” of center of cross member.
  4. Shocks - One per wheel.
  5. Springs – 5” diameter spring minimum.
  6. Front suspension and steering must be steel, unaltered, and in stock location. Stock type bottom A-Frame. Stock passenger car spindles.
  7. Brakes-Must have working brakes on all 4 wheels.

 

REARENDS

1.      Any passenger car type or truck rear end may be used; no aluminum allowed; except lower blocks; axle caps; and one-piece drive flange. Must be full floating type with double spline axles.

2.      Conventional aluminum center section type quick changes, with closed steel tubes, no inboard brakes or cambered rear ends, are allowed.

3.      No traction control devises of any kind allowed.

 

TRANSMISSION

1.      OEM production type transmission only. NO in & out gearboxes!

2.      Transmission must be equipped with at least one forward and one reverse, plus a neutral position and be able to be shifted by driver.

 

ENGINE

1.      OEM blocks only! NO aluminum engine blocks.

2.      No dry sump systems

3.      One 2bbl Holly 2300 #4412. (Must fit all gauges). No fuel injection, electric fuel pumps, or magnetos.

4.      Mufflers strongly recommended 100 decibels at 100 feet.
